Over the years some sectors have struggled to embrace wellbeing in the workplace. Wellbeing initiatives were not always given prominence on the management agenda.
In 2020 we saw a step-change whereby employee wellbeing rocketed up the priority list for many organisations. There is no doubt that it will continue to be front of mind for most organisations during the ongoing pandemic.
Why is wellbeing important in the workplace?
A commitment to wellbeing can be a key enabler of employee engagement and organisational performance. Promoting wellbeing positively contributes to employer brand, helping you attract the talent your organisation needs to succeed. It also facilitates retention as it positions you as an employer of choice, where individuals thrive, and creates a positive and productive working environment.
Natalie Saunders, Director of HR Consulting, and Deborah Warren, Legal Director in the Employment team, will share practical tips about how to kick-start, or continue and evolve, your organisation’s wellbeing journey.
They will also discuss how to find ways to identify and mitigate legal risk so as to keep out of the employment tribunal.
